History of boat

|
Fulbourne is a Town Class Big Woolwich motor, built for the
Grand Union Canal Carrying Company. At nationalisation in 1948
Fulbourne passed to British Waterways, before being sold off and
converted in the early 1960s. After various changes of ownership
a consortium (mainly of WRG volunteers) bought 'Fulbourne' in
1986 in near-scrap condition, de-converted, restored and have
operated the boat ever since, albeit with some changes of
personnel in the consortium since then.
